Mise en scene

I decided to comment on the mise-en-scène of the Marvel show, “Loki”.  I chose this show because it shows different types of sets, costumes, lighting. I also chose this show because it is well produced, and it's a marvel show. Personally I love Marvel shows and movies. Also, the show is really good, and I recommend watching it.       In season one, episode three, it opens with two ladies talking to each other in a restaurant. One of them is girl Loki and the other one is a future officer. The setting takes place in a bright lighting place. The mood looks happy. They're both talking and having a good time until something happens. Girl Loki asked a personal question and the mood changed. The lighting of the place also changed. It turned nighttime. The mood becomes tense, and girl Loki is pressuring the officer into saying some information that will help her.       The scene then cuts to girl Loki in the real world trying to ...

Five Master Edits with Sound Effects

1) Synchronous sound: I added nature sounds to the tree clip. This is because I wanted to make the audience experience what I was experiencing. Then I added a generator sound in the background to greater symbolize how far we've come with technology. From nature to electricity. 2) Voice-over: I did a voice-over in this clip because the "person" that I was talking to, is out of the shot. I also use the voice-over to make the audience hear what I was thinking and saying in my head. 3)  Music: I kept the music of "Us - Pas De Deux." I did this because scary music means that something bad is about to happen. 4)  Post synchronization dubbing:  I added writing sound effects when I was working on my math homework. It cut off when the scene transitioned to me slacking off. Then again, it cut to me doing my homework with writing sound effects. 5) Direct sound: I didn't change anything about the last scene because it was just comparing something from the present to som...

Five Master Edits

Contrast  In this film clip from a Netflix series "Stranger Things, Season 2, Episode Nine", The episode ends, and the camera starts to zoom out of the school. The shot then starts tilting to the right then the camera shows the "upside down" which is an alternate dimension existing in parallel to the human world. This transition is an example of contrast because it transitions from the normal school to a haunted school with a giant monster looking over it. It's the opposite of what's actually happening.  Parallelism  In this film clip from a movie "Forrest Gump". The movie starts with the main character (Forrest Gump) talking to a woman on this bench next to him. He then starts to talk about his shoes, and the scene makes a transition from present him to past him. This transition is called Parallelism because it cuts from one point in time to another. Another reason why it is a good scene is because it zooms into his face and transitions to his you...
