Movie Opener Brainstorming & Research

 Rise - There were a lot of close-ups, and they wanted to dwell on one specific object constantly throughout the movie beginning. It showed the guy playing soccer from various different perspectives, and while this was a cool effect, I felt that it took up too much of the opening. The final scene, in which the two individuals were shown in extreme close-up, made me wonder what their history was and why they seemed mad at each other. Dear Lover - The music and backdrop, in the beginning, are perfect for the romance concept. The camera angles are excellent, however, the lighting may be improved. There could've also been less voice-over and more  Dare to Thrill - The video starts off with a lot of risky action and well-placed music. The point and actions, however, get convoluted as the video proceeds. Always Watching - I feel like the acting could be better. I know they are just students, but the video as a whole was decent. How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film? There were 6 titles displayed What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?  The images that are prioritized in the opening scene are a place looking like mars, a space station, and a group of people that look like professional astronauts. What connotations do the images carry?  The connotations that the images carry at first confident and courageous. This is because the group of people in the space station look like they're prepared for anything. After a few minutes though, the scene changes to crammed and manic. How is genre reinforced through symbolic and technical codes from the outset?  Genre is reinforced through the science fiction that they're experiencing. For example the astronauts are in space/mars. How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film? There were 6 titles displayed What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?  The images prioritized in the opening sequence are a haunted Asylum in the forest. In it there is a two people that look evil. What connotations do the images carry?  The connotations that the images carry are scary, manic, and evil. When the cops take the women to the cop car, she uses evil powers to hurt them and tries to escape. How is genre reinforced through symbolic and technical codes from the outset?  Genre is reinforced through the powers that the women has. Sci fi features themes of advanced science and technology , and when the women uses her special powers, it fits with the theme. Since in reality we don't have super powers, the theme fits when the women uses her powers since it could be an advanced science.
